So, I forgot how to draw. Long story short, I lost my job last July, fell into an 11 month11-month depression, and hated absolutely everything I was making.
So I am trying to teach myself how to create comic book artwork again. Why? Because it brings me joy. Joy is something I have missed making art for several years now. So, until something changes, I am going to be posting comic book art.
This image was inspired by a cover I saw. Savage Land Rogue is a fun design and for the first time in a very long time, I created something that I don't hate.
Is it perfect? Nope. Not by a long shot. This piece took way too long. The hands are terrible. Some of the foliage is "eh". The smoke on the volcaneo is a bit wonky. But overall, I like it. volcano
But I re-learned a LOT because it contains some different technical and creative challenges.
I haven't had a personal style in a while. SO I am going to continue exploring this type of work and see where it goes.
IF anyone wants a cheap commission to help me explore this new style, hit me up for the details. Believe me. I have the time.
